PE-houses acquire Babysam
Audon Partners was retained as the strategic and financial adviser to Polaris Private Equity and AAC Capital Partners in connection with their acquisition of BabySam.
The transaction included the independent co-operating society BabySam A.m.b.A, 31 baby equipment retail stores, Odder Barnevognsfabrik A/S as well as 33% of the Nordic purchasing alliance Nordic Baby Group.
The retail chain has approx. 350 employees and revenues around EUR 70 million in 2007/08.
The purpose of the transaction was to transform the independent cooperative chain to a capital chain with high focus on accelerating growth in the Nordic countries and improving margins.

The vendors was 12 independent private owners who all continues as employees after the transaction.
Some vendors reinvested some of the proceeds from the sale in the new baby equipment retail chain together with the new owners.
